i was going to make these blog-like posts only about crafting and the thought process behind making things, but the past two weeks have been one problem after another at work. which i guess is normal because what is work if not solving one problem after another until you leave, willingly or unwillingly. but unfortunately even after two years i still haven't fully accepted that's how things will be. as a result instead of making my way through the list of crafts i have saved that i want to try making, i've been coming home every day and dissociating on the couch while a 7 hour long video explaining all of greek mythology plays in the background - a byproduct of having watched the odyssey over the weekend and understanding maybe 70% of it.

yesterday around 4:30pm i saw a reel on instagram about these new tote bags that whole foods released in collaboration with fishwife and took that as a sign from the universe to leave work and go search for it. but let's be honest, seattle is a fairly trendy city and those tote bags probably ran out in the morning. nonetheless, i did 3 laps around whole foods and saw no tote bags. then i came home and assembled some crochet bouquets. i had crocheted the actual flowers weeks ago and they've just been lying around, so i'm glad i got that done.
hopefully in future posts i'll have more updates on things i actually made but at the rate things are going, that probably won't happen for a while. in the meantime, the intern on my team went to an intern event and gave me this peccy, which was funny because i had made myself a peccy a couple days earlier (the one i made looks slightly traumatized). peccy apparently "stands for all strong, motivated, hardworking amazonians." i am a weak, unmotivated, working amazonian, but i hope he stands for me too.
